The Most Important Commandment
25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”
27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”[c]
28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”

Commentary: Often referred to as the “reduced commandment” in that it would be difficult if not impossible to follow this one and not follow any of the original ten. For example: if you love your neighbor you would not steal from them, or hurt them, etc.
Lord thank you for your love for us, your grace and your words f truth and all your commandments. Most of all thank you for your death at the cross for our sins, and the free gift of salvation for all those who believe in you and God, our Heavenly Father who sent you.
