All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

Prayer: Lord, this is the day we commemorate the arrival of Your Son, Jesus the Messiah, who would become the perfect sacrifice once and for all payment for sin. I am grateful for this gracious provision. Without it I would be lost. It is fascinating to read the Gospels and the accounts of His time here from birth to His resurrection. Amen.
