The verse for today’s prayer: 34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Commentary: Jesus ups the ante by commanding that the disciples love one another as Jesus loved them. Imagine the difference in this world if we simply followed this command. The dynamics among people would be significantly different. Many believe we would treat each other differently if we simply loved one another as Jesus loved us.
Prayer: Lord, a lot of problems in this world would simply go away if we followed your command to love one another as you have loved us. Amen.
